The general types of services provided by AVREC include surgery,
radiology, laboratory evaluations, intensive medical care and consultation
with the referral practitioners and/or specialists as the patient
requires. The surgeries that can be performed include simple to
complex laceration repair, C-sections, gastrointestinal surgeries
(GDV, removal of intestinal foreign bodies), and abdominal surgeries
(exploratories, splenectomies). For laboratory evaluations, AVREC
can provide in-house results for routine blood or they can utilize
several diagnostic laboratories in the area and around the country
in order to provide the most appropriate work-up for each patient.
The intensive care procedures that can be provided include blood
transfusions, oxygen therapy and ventilator assistance, electrocardiograms,
blood pressure monitoring, fracture stabilization, correction of
urinary blockage, and poison control.
