Akron Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center, an extension of your family veterinarian, is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide the finest emergency and specialized veterinary health care services.

For situations in which your pet requires advanced medical care, AVREC provides the veterinary specialists, emergency room clinicians, diagnostic equipment and state-of-the-art facility to ensure the highest quality care for our patients.

Pet owners are referred to AVREC by their veterinarians for a specific health reason and/or a second opinion. We are also available for after hours, holiday and weekend emergencies when your veterinarian is unavailable.
